Tips for Taking Great Animal Photos for Identification
Ensure the head, beak, eyes, or coat markings (stripes, rosettes, spot rings) are clearly visible and in good light.
Use your camera’s digital zoom rather than walking too close to unknown wildlife, especially snakes or large mammals.
Providing country, state, or environment type (e.g. "Texas forest" vs "Costa Rica reef") helps narrow down identical species.
